Building a Safer, Healthier, and Inclusive Espanola

The Township of Sables-Spanish Rivers is proud to share the newly refreshed LaCloche Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Plan 2025–2029, developed in partnership with the with the Espanola and Area Community of Care Planning Network (CCPN). This plan strengthens collaboration between municipal partners, service providers, and residents to support the safety, wellness, and resilience of our community.

What is the Espanola and Area Community of Care Planning Network?

The CCPN is a collaborative network of local health and social service organizations and municipal partners.

Together, we:

  • Coordinate supports and services across sectors
  • Plan proactively to address community safety and wellness
  • Engage residents in shaping priorities that matter most

CSWB/CCPN Strategic Plan 2025–2029 Priorities

1. Affordable Housing
Ensuring safe, accessible, and stable housing for families, seniors, and vulnerable residents.

2. Mental Health & Substance Use Access to Services
Improving access to timely mental health and substance use supports and increasing awareness of available resources.

3. Oler Adults’ Well-Being
Supporting aging residents through age-friendly programs, social engagement, and health initiatives.

How you Can Get Involved

The CSWB Plan thrives when the community participates. Residents and local organizations can contribute by:

  • Watching for opportunities to participate in public engagement activities
  • Sharing feedback on community priorities
  • Partnering with CCPN on projects and initiatives
